LATEST UPDATE: VISA 462 BALLOT ARRANGEMENTS FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2026–2027

The Australian Government has officially announced the latest Visa 462 Ballot arrangements for the 2026–2027 program year for applicants from Vietnam, China, and India.

Registration period: From Thursday, 4 June 2026 to Thursday, 25 June 2026 (in Australian Eastern Standard Time)

For applicants from China, India and Vietnam interested in the Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462), this ballot registration period is an important step before being eligible to lodge a visa application.

Important updates:

Registrations will remain open for 3 weeks
Future random selections will continue throughout the program year until 30 April 2027
Dates for future ballot selections will be published after each selection round
The ballot process does not affect the annual visa grant caps agreed between participating countries
At this stage, the dates for Selection 1, Selection 2, and Selection 3 are still listed as TBA.
